What is OBJ?
OBJ is a plain-text format from Wavefront Technologies that lists vertices, normals, UV coordinates and faces. Materials live in a separate .mtl file next to it, and textures are referenced by path.
OBJ has no skeletons or animations, so it suits static props and environment pieces. Keep the .obj, .mtl and textures together when you move the files.
