Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data facet64 collects when you use facet64.com, why, how long we keep it and what you can do about it.
Who we are
facet64 runs facet64.com and is responsible for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, write to [email protected].
In short: you do not need an account to browse or download, our analytics use no cookies and store no IP addresses, and we do not sell personal data or use advertising trackers.
When you browse and download
- Delivering the site. Requests pass through Cloudflare and our server, which see your IP address and browser details (user agent) in order to deliver pages and files.
- Abuse protection. To limit abuse and avoid counting the same download twice, our server turns your IP address and user agent into a salted hash. It stays in server memory for at most an hour and is never written to our database.
- Counters. For each download we record the model, pack or list, format, texture size, file version and time, with no IP address or browser details. Model views are one counter per model per day.
- Search log. We record the search text, how often it was searched, how many models it found, and when. It is not linked to you, so please do not type personal information into search.
- Analytics. We run Umami on our own server. It records pages visited, referring site, screen size, language, browser, operating system, device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, page speed, and events such as searches, filters, downloads and tool use. It does not record email addresses, form text or list names. It uses no cookies and does not store your IP address; visits are grouped by a hash of IP address, user agent and a salt that changes every month. If your browser sends Do Not Track, nothing is recorded.
- Error reports. When something breaks, our own error tracker (GlitchTip) gets technical details, the page address, browser type, referrer and language, but no IP address, cookies, account details or form contents.
- Your files. Files you open in our GLB tools are processed in your browser and are not uploaded.
If you create an account
- From Google or GitHub (through Google Firebase Authentication) we receive and store a unique account ID, your email address, name, profile picture link and sign-in method, plus when you joined and last signed in. You can change your name in Settings.
- What you save: bookmarks, lists (title, note, items, sharing settings) and download history (what you downloaded while signed in, format, texture size, file version and date).
- A session cookie keeps you signed in. See our Cookie Policy.
When you send a form or email us
- Report: reason, details, your email (required so we can reply), your name (optional) and the model.
- Request a model: what you need, style, engine, the search that led you there, and your email if you give it. We use it only to tell you when the model is ready.
- Our replies are stored with the report or request.
- Email to [email protected] reaches us through Cloudflare Email Routing.

Who processes data for us
- Hosting: our server in France, provided by Scaleway. It runs the site, database, search, analytics and error tracking.
- Cloudflare: DNS, content delivery, encryption and security for facet64.com; storage and delivery of model files (R2); database backups; email routing for [email protected]. Cloudflare processes IP addresses and request data to provide these services.
- Google Firebase Authentication: sign-in, only if you sign in. Google and GitHub follow their own privacy policies when you sign in with them.
- AR viewing: on Android, "View in your space" opens Google's Scene Viewer, which loads the model from our servers; on iPhone and iPad, Apple's AR Quick Look runs on your device.
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, relying on safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
- Account, bookmarks, lists, download history: until you delete them or your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, bookmarks, lists and Firebase sign-in record immediately; your download history loses any link to you and remains only as anonymous counts.
- Session cookie: 14 days, or until you sign out.
- List archives (zip files built for download): about one day.
- Error reports: 90 days.
- Counters and search log: kept as anonymous statistics.
- Backups: deleted data can remain in database backups for up to 30 days.
Your rights
You can access, correct, delete or export your data, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw consent at any time.
- In Settings you can change your name, download your data as a JSON file and delete your account.
- For anything else, email [email protected]. We may ask you to confirm the request is yours.
- Our analytics, counters and logs are not linked to you, so we usually cannot find records about you there.
- In the EU or EEA, you can also complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
facet64 is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the bottom of this page shows the latest version.
